I heard the news today

Whilst listening to the news today I was marveling at

how ridiculous some of the articles and responses are.
There is usually something from a think tank or parliamentary sub
committee that is stating the bloody obvious and a reply from a
government spokesman stating how much money they have already thrown at
a problem.
If it is near the weekend there will also be a member of Parliament
making a controversial statement trying to get themselves appearance
money for going on some weekend political talk show or just advertising
their column in a Sunday newspaper that they have written or have had
ghost written.
Then we will get somebody being interviewed who have gone and done
something positive to correct some form of injustice then somebody will
then phone up and complain that they have not gone far enough, not being
satisfied that something has been done in the first place and can serve
as a base for more improvements.
This is all followed by a series of phone calls and text messages from
people who want to be offended by whatever has been said.
This has been or rather cynical I know and I will listen to the news
again tomorrow and nothing will have changed, people will be letting
everybody know how wonderful they are am presenters will be
congratulating people for being offended just for the sake of being
offended.
